9.5 Polar Bear & Iceberg Lamp. An authentic Art Deco-era piece! Hand carved alabaster makes for a fine warm glow on this authentic Art Deco lamp! This large lamp features four cast metal polar bears exploring a large glacier! This two piece design includes a swirl Bakelite shade representing the mouth of the bear’s cave! The lamp is a two piece design and takes a standard nightlight bulb that is easy to change. This is an antique lamp that was made in Germany in the early 20. Century and is an authentic Art Deco-era piece. The lamp has original wiring with no on/off switch. It turns on as you plug it in. This is a very heavy piece. This lamp is in VERY GOOD condition! Lamp works fine with original cord. The lamp has some condition issue, gratefully none that are too obvious or detract from the piece. The top is attached to the bottom with two bolts; one of the bolts is missing, and there is a chip in the side (almost hidden behind a bear) where the bolt was attached. This is not very apparent in the overall design, and does not detract greatly. Otherwise, lamp shows only light signs of use and wear and is overall exceptionally presentable!
