Vintage Art Deco period Airplane Lamp

RARE Art Deco period Airplane Lamp designed by Chicago designer Ray A. Schober it made it’s debut commemorating the New York Worlds Fair in 1938. Patterned after the Douglas DC3. The fuselage is Cobalt Blue glass with hand painted silver lines. The wings and the body of the lamp are chrome. The free spinning propellers may be a different metal and show some signs of rust. The glass fuselage has some small chips where it fits into the chrome tailpiece, these are not visible when the plane is put together, I have enclosed pictures to view and would be happy to answer any questions. The lamp cord has been replaced and the lamp works very well. The chrome wings has some small pitting due to the age of the lamp. One picture shows a small blemish on the top of one wing, I have put a penny near it to compare the size. There is also some rust under where the fuselage sits. The plane has been in storage for many years and has been dusted but not polished. You can view the patent design on patent website search US-D110196. The fuselage was made by the Houze Glass Company and can be viewed on their website. This lamp is not a reproduction!
