Up for sale is this ADORABLE, RARE French Antique Art Deco 1920s Cut and Pressed Glass Owl Table Lamp! This is such an adorable and charming little table lamp featuring a gorgeous little pressed glass owl which when the lamp is rewired lights up, as does the main section of the lamp. This is a dual light lamp and I believe each light needs its own wiring cord and plug, as the owl is a separate light – night-light. The main lamp is a gorgeous lilac blue cut glass with brown bakelite gallery bulb fitting. This has metal fittings which unfortunately have corroded over time, and were originally chromed. The base is also glass in a lovely rich sky blue, a very popular Art Deco colour in the day. It’s also a lovely dinky little size and would look gorgeous in a boudoir or a reading nook etc. It doesn’t come with a shade, but at an experienced guess it most likely originally had a matching glass shade. I’ve included a sweet little clip-on pastel pink pleated taffeta shade. The lamp itself is in good antique condition, there’s no cracks, chips or dings in the glass sections. It of course needs rewiring, as I removed some of the wiring and the plug as they’re original and too much of a safety risk, and the plug was a European model. This is a very rare piece, and a very desirable french antique piece. So if you prefer home decor items with originality and buckets of charm, this is definitely one of those pieces! DON’T MISS OUT!
