Antique 1920s 30s Art Deco Gatsby Green Swirled Glass Ceiling Light Fixture Vtg
Circa 1920s – 1930s, this antique lighting fixture is a rare find indeed. The white milk glass with green enameled striped circles are a wonderful combination. The design is very characteristic of the Art Deco designs of the time, This very unique piece is sure to add a touch of sophistication and originality to your home while providing functional lighting for decades to come. MEASUREMENTS- 8″ Diameter x 8 1/2″ Tall. CONDITION- The original metal steel mounting base has a newly hand rubbed silver gilding as the old finish was simply gone, the socket and wires are new as well. There are some aging spots in the green enamel striping and a few minor scrapes and scuffs (Pictured) but overall the glass is really nice considering the light is approximately 100 years old. There are two holes on the outside of the ceiling base rim from when this light was mounted but you also have the option to screw the base up within the inside of the base, the outer mounting holes are larger and could be capped off if one wanted to cosmetically close them off. The three thumb screws are replaced new due to the originals were basically rusted to the point of non operational. The light is absolutely gorgeous with just minor typical age related cosmetic flaws in the green enamel. The light is ready for immediate installation. Thank you for looking!
