Art Deco Brass Bronze Nude Woman Goddess Nymph Night Light Frankart Style Funky
I found this little 1920’s art deco gem in an antique shop about ten years ago. This table lamp – night light stands approximately 10.25″ in height and 5.5″ in width at the widest point on the base. It works and has been rewired (see photographs). The nude woman is made from spelter and plated with either a brass or bronze cast done in the Frankart style then mounted onto a triangular shaped base. The cord is approximately 71 in length. The red stained glass panel is a modern replacement and measures 10″ x 10.5″. It fits into a slot in the base located directly behind the female nude. There are a series of letters and numbers on the base but given wear I cannot make them out. Perhaps one of you art deco aficionado’s will write and give me some additional insights into the origins/maker of the piece. This is pretty substantial and has some weight. I will include the bulb I presently have in the base. This emits the warmest light when lite and will definitely be an enhancement to your home and/or collection. The metal is in very good condition. I just learned that this was made by Loevsky & Loevsky White Metal Company. (I’ve looked everywhere and cannot find any markings).
