Vintage original Jielde industrial workshop lamp
This is a vintage lamp manufactured by Jieldé in Lyon, France. It’s been stripped back to the bare metal (steel and aluminium), polished and then waxed. Originally bolted to walls, machinery or work surfaces, this one has been mounted on a disc for use as a table lamp in a domestic setting. There are various imperfections such as scratches, dents and the odd trace of old paint. The shade itself has multiple dents and pitting from old rust (which has been cleaned off). The shade has had its protective outer ring removed and is a little misshapen. It’s been rewired with a UK plug, earthed and has a modern inline switch.
