Rare Leroy C. Doane Art Deco / Machine Age Table Lamp, Patented August 11, 1931
DOANE METAL TABLE LAMP, PATENTED AUGUST 11, 1931 ; the double pagoda shaped shade surmounted by a glass finial and over a double tiered shaft resting on a stepped round base. Designed to throw multi-colored light from under the top shade over the bottom shade and with a lighted finial. Also falsely attributed to K. Doane was a prolific inventor who originally worked for General Electric before WW1, designing mostly lighting components but also other items over a long career. I owned six Doane lamps.
