Art Deco Harlequin Dancing Pixie Lamp Gerdago Spelter Figural 1920’s 1930’s Elf
DANCIN’ IN THE MOONLIGHT…. EVERYBODY’S FEELIN’ WARM AND BRIGHT…. it’S SUCH A FINE AND NATURAL SIGHT. It features a dancing fairy pixie harlequin on marble base with white globe resting in a lighted base (not the original globe , it is made from a light-bulb). I have not had it appraised or looked at by an art dealer, but my research indicates that this figural piece was cast in pure spelter (French bronze) and displays what looks to be a painted celluloid face with eyes painted blue and lips painted red. The felt underneath the lamp present. The lamp works and uses a small nightlight bulb. It weights 6 lbs 5oz and measures approximately 10″ x 9″ x 4 1/4. I do not know if it was ever re-wired or if the lamp has the original wiring but the cord and switch on here are good. SHE DOES HAVE THE SMALLEST OF FLAWS BUT AT NEARLY 100 YEARS OLD THAT IS CALLED PATINA. Please look at all photographs for condition and dimensions. THIS PIXIE WANTS TO LIVE WITH YOU…..
