Fine Art Deco Bronze Markel Elect Prod 1930’s Slip Shade Chandelier Lamp Fixture
From a local smoke free house is this very nice vintage bronze Markel 5 light slip shade chandelier. The ornate chandelier may have never been installed, it is just that nice. We unpacked the fixture from and old box that had it wrapped in very old newspaper and was surprised by its condition. The bronze has very nice detail and finish. The shades have a satin glass finish decorated with small flowers. The lamp measures about 19 1/4 inches at its widest and about 12 1/2 inches high from where it mounts to the ceiling to the bottom of the finial. This model is a fixed ceiling mount and does not have a hanging chain. The bronze is in excellent near mint condition. The shades are in very good condition with only some small nicks or chips. One is pictured on a shade. Most of the other nicks are on the edges of the shades that don’t show when the shades are installed. There are also some interior bubbles done in the making. The lamp is substantial and weighs about 15 pounds. The fixture is marked M E P Inc. For Markel Electric products Inc. See photos as they are part of the description.
