This is a vintage lamp manufactured by Jieldé in Lyon, France. It’s been stripped back to the bare metal (steel and aluminium), polished and then waxed. There are various imperfections such as scratches and pitting to the metal and the odd trace of old paint, but nothing that spoils its appearance or isn’t in keeping with its industrial past. Originally used as workshop lamps, these would have been bolted into a work bench. However, this lamp has been fitted to a disc and can therefore be used as a standard lamp. It’s been rewired, earthed and fitted with a UK plug. It has a switch next to the shade. This is a vintage lamp manufactured by Jieldé in Lyon, France. It’s been stripped back to the bare metal (steel and aluminium), polished and then waxed. Originally bolted to walls, machinery or work surfaces, this one has been mounted on a disc for use as a table lamp in a domestic setting. There are various imperfections such as scratches, dents and the odd trace of old paint. The shade itself has multiple dents and pitting from old rust (which has been cleaned off). The shade has had its protective outer ring removed and is a little misshapen. It’s been rewired with a UK plug, earthed and has a modern inline switch. The lamp needs one. E27 Edison screwfit bulb. Outside green, inside white enamelled shade, green lacquered arm. 15,5 cm, height lower arm ca. 63 cm, lenght upper arm ca. 60 cm, total lenght ca. Original vintage condition with signs of use and age. Some loss of paints and enamel on the shade (Please see the pics). Rust around the switch. The lamp is rewired and functions.
