The spot light has been professionally polished to a bright mirror finish by a specialist British company. The finish is to an extremely high standard. The Light is presented on a handcrafted highly polished metal tripod. The tripod features height adjustable legs with rich detailed fittings. Fully restored a British made Strand Electric PATT 123 Theatre Spotlight. This baby Fresnel of aluminium alloy was introduced by Strand mid 1950s and went on to be produced until 1968 when Rank took them over and became Rank Strand. All parts are original with the exception of the light fitting and wiring. Which is a CE E27 Edison light bulb fitting, for a screw thread bulb. Its sliding focus, using the base Bakelite knob, is still operational. This adjusts the spread of light. Most on the market are no longer able to slide given the way they are wired but we have kept it as original as possible. Approx Lamp Size front to back: 265mm, side to side: 265mm, top to bottom exc. Bracket 230mm, 320mm with bracket. Choice of cables: Brown or Black 3 core silk braided or Black PVC. Choice of on/off foot switch or inline dimmer. The beautiful Stainless Steel. & Nickel telescopic tripod stand has. A raise and fall neck. Good strong legs clamps. Beautiful turned feet to suit all floor types. Overall height and spread can be set to suit. Max height approx 6′, minimum approx. Also available are wooden teak tripods in either natural or stained. Apologies for the unavoidable reflections. A RARE BRITISH THEATRE LIGHT CONVERTED AND RESTORED INTO A DESIGNER HOME FLOOR LAMP. Originally designed in Covent Garden, London at the Strand headquarters in the 1950s. We were very lucky to acquire this light direct from The Adelphi Theatre , London. The Light was used for many years, lighting up famous West End musicals. The light has been superbly engineered and features a die-cast ventilated body, 360 degree rotation, and an internal anodized reflector. The spot light has been professionally polished to a bright mirror finish by a specialist British company that provides polishing for Rolls-Royce. The finish is to an extremely high standard. We take pride in the finished result as the light represents a unique and rare piece of design history. The Light gives a wide beam spread for feature / architectural lighting and showing specific objects such as a work of art. The Light is presented on an rare antique mahogany and brass tripod.
