Here we have a superb Art Deco period splatter glass lampshade. The glass features speckles of oranges, blues and greens amongst a marbled background. I see this kind of shade regularly but this is one of my favourites! I love it’s style, colour and everything about it. The stepped, bulbous beehive layers are just so typically deco! This would look perfect on a period lamp or as a pendant light hanging from the ceiling. I also feel it would fit in well with a mid century/60’s inspired room due to it’s unusual shape. Presented for your consideration is this antique art deco table lamp. This figural lamp has a metal base with a dark bronze colored finish and a glass shade. The base shows three ladies or goddesses with their arms in the air and holding onto a ornate piece that holds the shade in place. The center stem of the lamp has a ornate, wavy edge design with an unusually shaped base. There are three small pre-drilled holes in the base for mounting. Beautiful, intricate detailing is present throughout the base. The lamp is completed with a multi-color, splatter pattern end of day shade. The shade has an unusual starburst shape to it and compliments the lamp base nicely but is not original. This beautiful lamp would make a great addition to any lighting collection or sculpture art collection! The lamp needs to be rewired. Typical wear from age and use. Overall in VERY GOOD condition.
