Beautiful very rare piece piece. Someone has attempted to restore this piece. The wiring and lighting components have all been removed. The base was badly damaged and has been replaced with a metal base. Unfortunatly the signature was on the original base. There are a few chips on the glass. This piece measures 11″ tall by 9.25″ wide. This has a great look to it and has been kept in good vintage condition. There may be some scratching or surface wear from age which is to be expected. Please see all photos for details and feel free to ask any questions. Please keep in mind that the majority of the items in my store are used, vintage or antique. I try to list every item accurately and to the best of my ability including any damage that I may find. There may be surface wear, scuffing or minor things to items that would come with normal use so if there is something specific you are concerned about please ask. Rene Lalique Ronce pattern matching set. Originally was two Ronce vases that were converted into a matching set of table lamps they are absolutely beautiful all of the patina is original. It is a very rare pattern and very desired they will make someone a very happy new owner. I have owned this matching set for over 20 years and now it is time for someone else to enjoy them pick whatever type of shade you would like and make them your own. The height of the lamp from the base to the finial Is 18 1/2 inches.

A very rare 1930 French art deco night lamp with a shade by René Lalique in moulded-pressed glass. This model is called’Vendome’ in the old Lalique product documentation. In the catalog of Félix Marcilhac representing all known Lalique glass items we can find the’Vendome’ model as chandelier #2293 on page 655 as well as huge lantern #2244 on page 632. The Vendome model was created in 1930. The shades used for the hanging fixtures were pierced with 2 holes so they could be attached to the mounting. See last two pictures. The shade on this nightlamp is unpierced and was never a part of a chandelier. I have for instance a 1932 catalog of the Dutch store Perry that offered the. The Lalique workshops made no postwar re-editions of the Vendome model and copies are unknown. As far as I know the Vendome building glasses are never signed. The lamp has a height of 18 cm. The base is 10,4 x 9,8 cm. And the shade itself measures 16×7,2×7,2 cm. The lamp is in very good condition. I have cleaned and rewired the frame, it has a nice deep-brown patina. It holds a European E14 socket. For the States I will wire it with a US candelabra base socket and 2-prong plug. Check out over 300 other French art deco lamps in my shop. French lamps and wiring. Art deco lamps made in France were equiped with B22 bayonet sockets. For most countries like Europe or the US such sockets are practicaly impossible to use. For instance in the States 110 volt bulbs with B22 fitters are obscure, very hard to find and only one model bulb in very limited wattages is available. In spite of what sellers of unrestored pieces of poor quality claim in their ads when they offer lamps with bayonet caps sockets : except for the UK and Australia French chandeliers and lamps need to be rewired for your country. In order to fit Edison large or small screw base bulbs as used in the USA, B22 sockets have to be replaced by American candelabra base or standard/medium size Edison screw-in sockets. E14 and E27 are modern replacements for European countries. An additional complication is that the size thread used in early French lighting to connect the sockets to the chandelier mountings or lamp bases is not compatible with the modern size threads used in the USA and Europe. New American or European sockets do not just screw on to the old lamp fixtures. In order to make it possible to use an original old French chandelier or lamp with modern screw bulb bases, a specialized restorer will have to re-tap the threads. A stunning French art deco lamp by René Lalique in patinated moulded-pressed glass. This model is called’Saint-Vincent’ in the old Lalique product documentation. In the catalog of Félix Marcilhac representing all known Lalique glass items we can find the Saint-Vincent lamp as item #2169 on page 622. The lamp was created in 1926. And shows up in Laliques 1932 and 1937 pricelists. After the war when the Lalique factory re-opened in’47 this model was no longer taken in production. Normaly in the 15 to 25K area. The lamp has a height of about 40 cm. And the diameter of the bowl is 34,5cm. The lamp is in very good condition. Some insignificant lines from moulding can be seen on the base. The lamp is complete with its glass disc that holds the bowl. Both bowl and base are signed. I have rewired the lamp with stylish cloth covered twisted cord. It holds a European E14 socket. Offering for your selection this unique Rare Rene Lalique Nivernais Lamp with Original Lamp Hardware & Crystal Finial by Lalique Art Glass Company Designed in 1927. This wonderful Art Deco mold blown streamlined R. Lalique glass is from the machine age. Superb design and quality to opalescent glass Made in France with High Style Design of the Art Deco Era. To top of finial x 5 1/2 Dia. At base, Glass 6 1/2 Ht. X 7 1/2 Dia. X 3 1/4 Dia. Opening at cap x 3 1/4 Dia. Marked in diamond pen R. 1005 on bottom edge (see pic). No chips, cracks or restorations. Minute flea bite on one panel edge, few air bubbles in the making. Wear to paint on lamp hardware and flaking to lamp cap and base, this could be restored by a professional restorer if so desired. (Note: I took several pics of wooden cap and base showing the pencil markings with same number “1005” as on glass portion). Recently rewired with gold silk cord and new plug.
