Great opportunity to acquire something quite special, up for offer is this superb and very rare tall art deco solid bronze table lamp; Great tribute to World-renowned Washington DC Pacific Northwest much loved iconic monument. Built of solid heavy cast bronze, and finished with wonderful 1930s period fittings. Standing on a solid heavy bronze triangular stepped base with classic bronze border, and fine quality wool mix green felt baize covering to the underside. The two-staged bronze die-cast art deco design column features a mid-height solid bronze globe, above which the column tapers outward to support a decorative top circular stage. The traditional 1930s switched heavy bronze bulb holder with its original bronze E22 bayonet cap fitting compliments the lamp beautifully and supports the early 1930s bronze ventilated GECORAY cup gallery with its original bronze thumb screws. The large flared 1940s ribbed prismatic holophane shade sits beautifully into the gallery finishing this majestic piece of period lighting. Rewired in the 1990s with silk braided two-core flex and still has the original large (MK) Bakelite patented three round pin functioning plug with the original cord grip; all working in perfect order.
