An impressive GENUINE antique early 1920s porcelain lamp with lady figurine in period dress. Hand decorated in off white, black and gold. Lovely modeled and most likely designed by Lorenzl for the Goldscheider porcelain factory. Lovely dress in an ivory color with gilt trim, and adorned with a typical art deco hat. No markings found, but very similar figurines were made just like this lady, however not made into a lamp. Therefore, this lamp figurine is super rare, not yet another one seen. The antique porcelain and brass bulb socket with on/off switch is made by P&S Pass & Seymour Inc. It requires one US standard bulb. Height of porcelain: 12. Height total with shade harp: 24. Condition is excellent, porcelain is faintly crackled, and the gilt is slightly rubbed, consistent with its age and usage. The electrical wiring has been replaced with vintage looking new cloth covered wiring and wall plug. They are part of the condition and description. The lamp will be well wrapped and packed. It measures 10 1/2 inches in height to the rim edge of the shade fitting and approximately 6 inches x 4 inches across the base. There is a break to one arm and general age related wear. Period Art Deco Lamp. Cold Painted Figural Ballerina. Measures 14.5″ high, shade diameter is 7.75″. Unsigned, in-line cord switch marked Gilbert. Good estate discovery condition with no significant issues, works, the lower shade edge has a number of small rubs and nicks, some light wear to the base, losses to gilding of column caps more so at bottom, there is either dirt or patina wear to some groove areas of all columns, the bronze gilt painted highlights to the figure’s costume has some wear, face paint is good, figure is a bit dirty and dusty, cord is dry and paper connection cover on plug is loose and torn, there is a hole at the top of the shade and we are unsure if a finial is absent or whether it exists for heat dissipation but we assume it is for a missing finial. This item will be approximately 24 x 16 x 16 inches and weigh approximately 14 pounds when well packed. Pick-up is presently not available.
