Charming art deco lamp with a personal inscription presented from the congregational church of “Hay-On-Wye” in Herefordshire to the Rev Idris Davies on Dec 10th 1937. 80 years on, and still living to tell the tale, and consigning the occasion to the history books ; Beautiful.. “Please scroll down for details”. Such a beautiful lamp, and ready for another 80 years. Inscribed, Chrome plated circular base with heavy stabilizer base plate, and green felt baize covering. Reeded cut glass column with chrome plated base sleeve. 1930s original chrome bulb holder with B22 bayonet cap fit. 1930s original on board push ON/OFF switch. Large Geometric architectural original Art Deco Opaline marbelled Shade. Original 1930s (patented) three-round pin Bakelite plug. Wired in the 50s, tested, and in perfect working order. These vintage plugs make for unique ornamental display and act as conversation starters and talking points. In Beautiful condition with minimum noticeable signs of age related wear commensurate with its 80+ years of service.
