1st generation friction disc Edon desk lamp. Extra heavy, solid cast iron shield base. Designed as a ” fancier” desk lamp, and scaled as such. Much shorter arms than the industrial task light versions. Love the rivets on the arm brackets. I believe this is the only model that used rivets. Trying to remember if any of the early task lamps used them- anyone have or recall? This one is all gussied-up in black repaint(originally, these were black), Hubbell socket and nos? A minty, original finish, looks unused Faries shade, remnants/ outline of the waterslide decal shown in photos. New grey wire and polarized plug.

I’ve never seen one like this before and will probably never see one again but hey it’s got to go! It’s the base that really catches the eye on this desk lamp. The flexible iron stem is flanked by two mermaids displaying their assets, with an ashtray in the center. A rather wonderfully rare lamp which would have been pretty risqué in its day. Up for sale is this impressive and rare titling shade glass and cast iron wall lamp made by Bradley and Hubbard in the early 1900s. All of its glass is intact, including the glass chain pull. The shade measures 9″ wide and 4.25″ deep. The cord is 9 ft 9 inches long. The arm that connects the wall base to the shade measures 10 long. The wall base measures 7″ by 6″ and sticks out 5 from the wall. And I take at least a dozen orders to the post office every single day Monday thru Saturday, so your items will get to you quickly and safely.
