Original from the 1920s – 1930s era, this antique lighting fixture is a rare find indeed. The highly detailed clear glass face and ribbed Deco chevrons white enameled sides are a wonderful combination. The design is very characteristic of the Art Deco designs of the time, This unique piece is sure to add a touch of sophistication and originality to your home while providing functional lighting for decades to come. MEASUREMENTS- 7 3/4″ Diameter x 11″ Tall. CONDITION- The original thick pressed metal mounting base is very intact and the threaded thumb screw grommets all work well, the base has the original dark bronze finish has approximately 100 plus years of aging/patina and looks wonderful as is but could also easily be sanded and painted to a color that suits your project if needed. The socket and wires have been replaced new. There is some natural aging of the glass and a very very slight hint of lavender in the clear glass portion known as solarization amethyst (natural color from the suns UV in the glass materials used and time). There is a slight frosted/haze of the clear face portion if you look very closely (Pictured), this is natural in the glass from the white enameling process of the sides and slight overspray and age within the interior’s bottom/clear face. There is normal edge chipping and finish ware on the fitter lip from decades use and bulb changes. There is a hole in the middle of the metal base where a pull cord used to be used for on off operation prior to wall switches. The light is absolutely gorgeous with just minor typical age related cosmetic flaws in the white enamel and glass. The light is ready for immediate installation as is or simply refinish if desired. This light fixture is the smaller accenting matching light to the larger 12 bursting star, Great for hall ways or areas where a larger light is not needed or feasible. The light is in overall beautiful antique condition considering the light is approximately 90 years old. There are a few slight scratches/scuffs on the polished metal ceiling canopy but purely superficial. The glass shade is in wonderful condition overall, no major chips or cracks, maybe a few very slight flea bite Knicks scattered but upon inspection the shade is about as nice as you will ever find for an original this age. The light has also had a new socket and wires installed and ready to provide another century of gorgeous lighting for your room of choice. Thank you for looking! Circa 1920s – 1930s, this antique lighting fixture is a rare find indeed. The white milk glass with green enameled striped circles are a wonderful combination. The design is very characteristic of the Art Deco designs of the time, This very unique piece is sure to add a touch of sophistication and originality to your home while providing functional lighting for decades to come. MEASUREMENTS- 8″ Diameter x 8 1/2″ Tall. CONDITION- The original metal steel mounting base has a newly hand rubbed silver gilding as the old finish was simply gone, the socket and wires are new as well. There are some aging spots in the green enamel striping and a few minor scrapes and scuffs (Pictured) but overall the glass is really nice considering the light is approximately 100 years old. There are two holes on the outside of the ceiling base rim from when this light was mounted but you also have the option to screw the base up within the inside of the base, the outer mounting holes are larger and could be capped off if one wanted to cosmetically close them off. The three thumb screws are replaced new due to the originals were basically rusted to the point of non operational. The light is absolutely gorgeous with just minor typical age related cosmetic flaws in the green enamel. The light is ready for immediate installation. Thank you for looking! This is a gorgeous surviving piece of lighted functional art from the iconic 1920s-30s era. The lamp was originally some sort of sun rays medical light that used carbon rods arcing to mimic sun light similar to welding rods, it has since been converted into a usable lamp at some. The housing is just gorgeous! The lamp is primarily cast Iron, the large ornate base and large art deco face along with the front door frame and hinge joints are all cast iron. The sides, top and back are a heavy gauge steel with louver venting slots. The side carry handles appear to be a black wood. The outer finish is original dark bronze/Brown textured hammertone with slight greenish hughes in the ornate portions. The light looks gorgeous as it is or sky’s the limit depending on the look your after if you choose to modify to your own personal tastes. MEASUREMENTS– This lamp is large measuring 19 1/4″ tall x 13 3/4″ wide x 10 deep at the cast iron base. Please keep in mind the lamp is quite heavy due to the cast iron portions. The light has lots of character and finish imperfections such as patina, scratching, and some finish worn away on the sides. There is a chip on the inner side of the glass knob on the front door panel (Pictured last photo). More photos available upon request if needed.
