Fine Arts, Antiques and Collectibles. COLD PAINTED METAL AND IVORINE FIGURAL LAMP. Magnificent and unusual French Art Deco figural table lamp to the Decorative 20th. The lamp depicting an acrobatic young lady figure balancing two spheres in stylized movement an attractive costume. The body is of cold painted pure metal, with resin based face (ivorine). The lamp has an Art Glass relief molded shade whit floral motif in the manner of Sabino or Degue. The group is mounted on a marble base. This lamp is marvellous. Total Height with shade. Very Good overall condition with Original paint. The figure showing light wear to the patina and some stains and traces of soiling concentrated to the recessed contours. It have very small chips on the enameled patina especially on the hands. The glass shade is in very good condition with no breaks, only has a hairline on one of the edges (possibly manufacturing fault) that is invisible inside the brass frame. Wiring has been replaced. The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the piece is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. We will do our best to keep all costs at a minimum.

Hirsch attributed figural cold painted spelter and alabaster boudoir lamp with “pixie” female dancer. Alabaster is in excellent condition with no major flaws or discoloration frequent seen in alabaster shades. A charming period piece in excellent condition for age.

Beautiful, well cared for old lamp. She looks to me to be a tango dancer, or something similar. 24 inches tall, to the top of the glass finial. There is a threaded shade mount extension on it as shown. This is to accommodate a shade like is shown in my photos. This extension can be removed, to accommodate a shorter or different shade. THE SHADE IN THE PHOTOS, IS NOT INCLUDED, AS IT GOES TO ONE OF MY LAMPS. The metal lady figure is standing on 2 pieces of stone, that is on a metal base, that is on a wood base. The head and left should is made of some type of man made celluloid material. She needs some cleaning, and you can see in my photos, there is some age paint loss, here and there, but nothing terrible. It’s a beautiful old original lamp. Just a small watt bulb is nice as it lights the shade, and just has a soft lighting for the lady figure. On this, to any of the 50 U. I describe all I see and all I know about each item. Offering here an antique cold painted metal (spelter or cast iron) 4 panel curved slag glass electric lamp. Non working – needs to be re-wired and does not have a plug in. Approximately 15 tall without the finial. Cold-painting was a technique popular during the art deco period in the 1920s. Bronze figures, cast iron and spelter were covered with enamel paint and resulted with beautifully colored figurines or lamps such as this piece. Dont use metal polish or any chemical cleaner on it because the paint chips easily. Just dust or wipe with a damp cloth. No chips, cracks, repairs or other issues with the slag glass panels. Period Art Deco Lamp. Cold Painted Figural Ballerina. Measures 14.5″ high, shade diameter is 7.75″. Unsigned, in-line cord switch marked Gilbert. Good estate discovery condition with no significant issues, works, the lower shade edge has a number of small rubs and nicks, some light wear to the base, losses to gilding of column caps more so at bottom, there is either dirt or patina wear to some groove areas of all columns, the bronze gilt painted highlights to the figure’s costume has some wear, face paint is good, figure is a bit dirty and dusty, cord is dry and paper connection cover on plug is loose and torn, there is a hole at the top of the shade and we are unsure if a finial is absent or whether it exists for heat dissipation but we assume it is for a missing finial. This item will be approximately 24 x 16 x 16 inches and weigh approximately 14 pounds when well packed. Pick-up is presently not available.
