Up for sale is a beautiful, authentic Art Deco boudoir lamp from the 1930s, found in its original, untouched state. This lamp features the highly sought-after butterscotch Bakelite (Catalin) fluted stem and a translucent pink octagonal glass base, likely manufactured by the Houze Glass Company. Height: 11.5 inches tall. Base: 4 inches wide (Octagonal). Materials: Genuine Bakelite/Catalin, Depression-era Glass, Brass/Metal socket. Base: There is a small chip on one of the decorative pieces around the octagonal base. It does not affect the lamp’s stability and is not highly noticeable when displayed (see photos). Wiring: The lamp has its original 1930s wiring. The cord is visibly frayed and worn. For safety, this lamp must be professionally rewired before being plugged in or used. This is a pair of Antique 1920’s Art Deco boudoir lamps made of butterscotch Bakelite. Standing at 12 inches tall and 3.5 inches wide, these small corded electric lamps feature a unique push button control style and a beige cord color. The Art Deco style and retro theme make them a charming addition to any collection of antique lighting pieces from the early 20th century. Old light sockets not matching. FYI This causes a 1/2 difference in height. A faded white spot and a tiny black smudge on the lavender base. Requires standard size 60 watt max lightbulbs. Sorry lightbulbs not included. New era correct cloth wire cords. Tested a work great!!! Superb example of vintage Antique Art Deco lighting designs at its best. Will make an excellent addition to any room in your home. Original art deco butterscotch bakelite candlestick style pair of table lamps, each 9.5 tall. They have a 3.5 square bakelite base that stands on 4 brass ball feet. The central bakelite stick part is made in 3 parts, the tube below switch and bulb, and 2 thick rings that are separated with a 1 ring of filigree floral brass decoration. All the fittings are brass that has aged patina. They have gold plastic cords and dark brown plastic plugs. These are true bakelite and will turn simichrome a dark burnt orange color. I put in bulbs, and you can see the pair is working, the plugs and the switches function. However, the wiring is not new and you may want to consider re-wiring before prolonged use. One of the lamps has a flaw on the side edge of center top ring, a small old darkened chip, please see pictures.

Pair vintage bakelite butterscotch candlestick boudoir lamps. Work well and rewired with push buttons. Stands steady with light wear from age and use. Some light metal wear and thin chip on the bottom of one lamp. Stand 13″ high and the base measures 4″ x 4. Decorative 4 point base with slim candlestick design.
