Vtg Art Deco Bubble Glass Shade Ceiling Light Fixture. This Art Deco light fixture is elegant lit and unlit. The thick bubble glass design is Amazing. Chrome base with socket and wires is new. Light base has a 60 wattage maximum with a standard size lightbulb. Sorry lightbulb not included. Glass shade is free of chips and cracks. Shade is in great shape. Please see all pictures using the zoom feature. Light fixture measures approximately 6.5″ tall from the ceiling down x 4.5″ wide. Fitter 3-1/4″ & ceiling cap 5″. This light has been tested and works great! Superb example of vintage Art Deco lighting design at its best. Will make an excellent addition to any room in your home. Antique Blue Glass Art Deco Boudoir Lamp Pair Bubble Flair Working C. Condition best described as used. Cords appear to be fully intact with no freys or breaks to wires. Only minor difference between lamps is that one has pull chain operation whereas the other has push in on/off switch. Very nice quality ornate pair of art deco boudoir lamps with all original parts which are becoming increasingly scarce especially to find matching set! PLEASE NOTE: minor damage detected, shown in picture #5 at top rim of lamp base whereas previous owner applied epoxy although virtually unnoticeable unless directely observed. George Nelson was truly one of the founders of American Modernism; while Director of Design for Herman Miller, he designed his iconic Bubble Lights, the most popular of which was this flying saucer shaped table lamp. I can find no flaws other than a bit of age appropriate discoloration but which is barely discernible when either lit or unlit. The bottom frame bears a sticker: Bubble Light Fixtures, Patent Applied For, Howard Miller Clock Company, Zeeland, Michigan. This light is made of a self-webbing plastic that was incorporated by Nelson from military use. It measures approximately 24″ high 12″ wide it looks to have its original wiring which is in excellent condition. Please be sure to note the mellow color of the shade, both lit and unlit and the fine “ribbing” on the shade which is so beautifully accented when the lit.
