Pair Pairpoint School Bronzed Metal & Steuben Gold Aurene Trumpet Shade Boudoir Lamps Unsigned C1920. This exquisite pair of boudoir lamps feature bronzed metal bases with elegant detailing. The lamps are adorned with gold Aurene Steuben glass trumpet shades, known for their iridescent quality and craftsmanship. Although unsigned, the design and materials are indicative of the early 20th century, around 1920. These lamps showcase the Art Nouveau style with their organic forms and luxurious materials. 8 1/4″ x 4 7/8″. Most of all needs a good home for someone to appreciate these works of art.

Please see images and read condition description. Please keep in mind when. Beautiful and rare, French Art Deco bronze & glass lamp by artist Edgar Brandt. The patination is amazing and the base is about 5.25″ tall and 5.25″ wide on bottom. The bullet shaped glass shade is about 9″ tall making the lamp itself about 13.75″ tall. Weighs 4.10 lbs before packing. The glass shade appears to be original to the lamp and is hand etched Steuben. There are some small nicks & chips around the fitter, but it’s to be expected. The base is in excellent condition and the lamp has been rewired with a newer cloth cord like the originals. Lovely piece of Art Deco! Items I sell are not new. They have been used so do not expect mint condition unless otherwise noted. Measurements are approximate and may not be totally exact. International Buyers Please Note. Several of the most common techniques for producing glass art include: blowing, kiln-casting, fusing, slumping, pate-de-verre, flame-working, hot-sculpting and cold-working. Cold work includes traditional stained glass work as well as other methods of shaping glass at room temperature. Glass can also be cut with a diamond saw, or copper wheels embedded with abrasives, and polished to give gleaming facets; the technique used in creating Waterford crystal. Art is sometimes etched into glass via the use of acid, caustic, or abrasive substances. Traditionally this was done after the glass was blown or cast. In the 1920s a new mould-etch process was invented, in which art was etched directly into the mould, so that each cast piece emerged from the mould with the image already on the surface of the glass. This reduced manufacturing costs and, combined with a wider use of colored glass, led to cheap glassware in the 1930s, which later became known as Depression glass. Up for your consideration is an Oscar Bach Gilt Bronze and Steuben Aurene Glass Fixture of spherical form with S-scroll overlays, suspended by three chains. The piece was designed by Oscar Bach (1884 – 1947), who contracted Steuben to make a very large & heavy glass orb, that is very highly iridized. The piece is gorgeous when lit or unlit, and is one of the finest lamps of this form ever made. The piece is 13.75″ tall, 10″ in diameter at the widest point, and 5.5 in diameter at the mouth. Just the glass portion of the lamp measures 10″ high and 9″ in diameter. Additionally, the chain measures 8 long. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition. There is slight wear to the chain links (some have opened or been bent slightly), otherwise the piece is in wonderful condition for its age. An antique, cold painted bronze figural lamp with Art Glass tulip shade. An unusual lamp with a female clown figure Poirot? With painted face & hands. The shade is Steuben Calcite shape/form #2524 with gold, iridescent aurene interior & pearly verre de soie exterior. It measures about 20 1/4 52 cm. Tall & the shade 5 12.5cm. Excellent condition with no cracks, chips to shade & no scrapes or chips to the patina on the bronze. I have nor removed the felt bottom looking for marks & the shade is not signed but they were often marked with a white fleur de lis stamp which easily washed away.
