It is converted gas to electric. Providus produced lighting in Italy during the turn of the century. This lamp probably dates to the 1920s or 1930s. Excellent scarce example of a stunning Art Deco industrial fixture. Measures 20 Inches tall from shade to start of chain and just under 18 inches in diameter at the flared shade. It is in antique condition. Has a porcelain and enamel finish which is chipped a littl and has a small ding which really just adds to the character of this unique and rare item.

From a New England estate. Scarce matching pair of original Art Deco Era offset design fiberglass shades in very good condition with replaced black whip-stitching. Straw-colored background with bold white, black, and gold painted design. Each measures 5 1/2″H X 10″W. Minor rippling on one shade. Usedbut in remarkable condition without tears. These can be attached traditionally or screwed onto a threaded brass socket jacket. Please keep this in mind when viewing the s&h charges. Thank you for your understanding! Neat old lighted sign. Measures approx 13″ wide x 8″ high x 6 deep. Constructed of a metal cabinet with reverse painted sign face. Illuminated by a single incandescent bulb and works fine. The wiring was degraded, so I had a master electrician install a new 6′ cord, plug, and an in line on off switch. There would originally have been a cover over the wires on the socket, which is not present. I wanted to keep it as original as possible. The item displays very nicely, but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina as shown. There is some crazing and paint loss to the reverse painted glass face. Some of the rubber legs on the bottom are degraded. There is some old scotch tape on the back, which I’m certain could be removed. There is some pitting, rusting, staining, paint loss etc to the metal cabinet. I’m not trying to degrade the item as it is nice for the age, just trying to be thorough.
