Antique Art Deco Figural Lady Lamp Original Vintage Alabaster Shade Italian
The female figure is made of metal, with a bronze color finish, with very light minor paint loss. The base is made of alabaster, and the dome shaped shade also in matching alabaster. I have had this for over 40 years. The lamp is all original except the electrical cord 7 ft. Has been updated, and has an inline switch. Lamp is in fine working condition. The lamp is approximately. 21 inches tall, and about 9 inch in diameter, at the shade. The base is approximately. 6 inch in diameter. I have a white pencil pointing at the bottom of the base in one photo. I have also used the white pencil in another photo of the under inside of the shade. There is a area of the inside lip of the shade that is chipped off. It doesn’t show when the shade is in place on the metal frame. The dome alabaster shade is a bit fragile because of the age and heat from the light bulb. The previous owner had used a high watt light bulb in the lamp, which was too hot for the alabaster, and caused some hairline surface cracks. They are mostly on the exterior surface and do not go all the way thru the alabaster. I have used some blue tape in a couple of photos to show a short crack that does go all the way thru. This crack is tight and stable. So when the shade is handled, this area is also stable. I have always used the small bulb (7 – 12 watt that is included) shown in my photos, using the lamp as a accent piece, or night light effect. 20x15x13 cost on this, to any of the 50 U.
