This unsightly injury runs approx. 50% of the entire umbrella edge. However, there is no cracks whatsoever and the eaten edge is therefore absolutely irrelevant to the stability of the glass. Please remember that the glass is a good 100 years old. It would be a shame to dispose of this very rare and valuable glass shade because of its signs of age.
