Antique 1930s 40s Art Deco Machine Age Green Ceiling Light Fixture Federal Stars
Circa 1930s – 1940s, this antique lighting fixture is a gorgeous find indeed. The highly detailed green enameled glass shade with clear raised accented Federal stars are a wonderful combination. The design is very characteristic of the Art Deco machine age of the time, This unique piece is sure to add a touch of sophistication and originality to your home while providing functional lighting for decades to come. MEASUREMENTS- 10 1/4″ Diameter x 7 1/2″ Tall. CONDITION- Refurbished/Reclaimed- The chrome metal mounting base is the original as well as the glass components and some of the hardware. The 3 bulb socket cluster, wires and most of the hardware have been updated/replaced with new for functionality as well as cosmetics, most of the original hardware was rusty and non salvageable. The original antique glass shade and fixture cap glass accent stem as well as the chrome mounting base have been professionally cleaned and polished to bring back the original beauty and shine. This gorgeous fixture is now ready to be enjoyed for decades more to come! CONDITION DETAILS- There are a few very tiny natural air bubbles within the glass and a few scrapes and scuffs from use in the green enamel. There is some slight normal edge roughing on the top rim as well as a flaked shale chip on the inner rim. Also there is a slight line/hair line fracture about 5/16 in length on the center finial hole of the shade from use- (pictured). All imperfections are very superficial in nature. The chrome steel ceiling cap is in overall nice condition for its age, there’s is some age speckling and very minute specks of patina but overall very shiny and above average for the age. The light is absolutely gorgeous with just very minor typical age related superficial flaws scattered, but overall a beautiful surviving piece of functional art that was saved and brought back to life to enjoy for decades more to come! The light is ready for immediate installation. Thank you for looking! PLEASE NOTE- This particular shade will require the short/stubby style bulbs as the standard size bulbs will not fit down within the shade. Sorry bulbs not included.
