1937 Aladdin G-92 Blue Aladex Glass Art Deco Boudoir Lamp with Whip-O-Lite Shade
Vintage Aladdin G-92 boudoir lamp featuring a blue Aladex glass base with original brass hardware and clip-on shade. This style was produced by the Aladdin Mantle Lamp Company (Chicago) in the late 1930s. The ribbed glass base has that classic milky, opalescent glow-this example is the earlier Aladex glass, which predates Aladdin’s later glass formulas Opalique and Alacite. The lamp retains what appears to be its original Whip-O-Lite clip shade, a style introduced in the 1930s. These parchment shades were commonly paired with Aladdin electric lamps of this era. A partial original paper label reading. Lamp Co. Chicago is still visible on the base. Condition is very good for its age. Glass is clean with no major chips or cracks observed. Normal light wear consistent with age. The lamp powers on and works as shown.
