1920’s Edon Shield Base Art Deco Desk Lamp Faries Hubbell Light Cast Iron
1st generation friction disc Edon desk lamp. Extra heavy, solid cast iron shield base. Designed as a ” fancier” desk lamp, and scaled as such. Much shorter arms than the industrial task light versions. Love the rivets on the arm brackets. I believe this is the only model that used rivets. Trying to remember if any of the early task lamps used them- anyone have or recall? This one is all gussied-up in black repaint(originally, these were black), Hubbell socket and nos? A minty, original finish, looks unused Faries shade, remnants/ outline of the waterslide decal shown in photos. New grey wire and polarized plug.
