Rare Art Deco Goldscheider Two Pierrot Boys Lamp Figurine Lavergne Austria
RARE ART DECO GOLDSCHEIDER TWO PIERROT BOYS LAMP FIGURINE LAVERGNE – AUSTRIA. Super RARE Goldscheider figurine/lamp of two pierrot boys. From 1930-40 we think. Designed by Lavergne (as signed on the base). Made in Austria (Vienna). Mold on the bottom says 3721, 119, 11. Marked on the bottom as shown. We have only seen this come up ONE TIME in all these years, and it didn’t even have the lamp bulb they are holding or the wiring for the lamp. Measures approximately 15″ tall and 10″ wide. Overall Great Condition for age — Wiring for the lamp needs to be replaced, therefore the light does not work, but the BULB the boys are holding IS there! There is some crazing throughout the piece which is consistent with the age of it. The base is cracked as you can see in the pictures. The underneath part has been “repaired” so to speak. One pierrot still has the “cigarette” in his mouth and the other does not. Otherwise, truly in wonderful condition! Coloring and paint in excellent condition as well. AMAZING Art Deco piece!!!!!
