RESTORED Antique Vtg DAV ART Drip Glazed Table Lamp Art Deco Mid Mod JB Hirsch
This is an original early 1900’s to mid-1900’s piece by D. Art in New York USA, which means it’s a J. He founded his business in 1907 and it ran until the mid-century. A high quality piece, it has been restored to bring out its original beauty. This lamp has been freshly rewired, the brass polished and the brass Paulding sockets have been cleaned, rewired with vintage-style cloth cord and Bakelite plug, tested and are working great. The glazed pottery has no chips or cracks – just normal crazing in the glaze, which shows its age. The underside of the brass plated copper base has the triangle logo with DAV ART NY and a number 2 next to it. Use two standard-base light bulbs up to 60 watts, or use LEDs bulb for any brightness you like, as they use low wattage for bright light. Total height – base to the top of the finial: 23. Base to the bottoms of the sockets: 16 1/2. Width at the ends of the sockets: 5 1/2. Width at widest point of vase: 7. Width of base: 4 1/8. Use the 1/4″ finial for your fabric or stained glass shade, or use the 2 1/4″ brass holder above the sockets for your reverse painted glass shade. You’re going to LOVE it!
