Machine Age Art Deco Bakelite Polaroid Study Lamp Two Shades Works Great RARE
We picked this up years ago at an estate sale but no longer have any use for it so it needs a new home. I did some research on the lamp and came across one that is on display in the Brooklyn Museum (see screenshot). The lamp works great. We are including two shades. The original shade was painted by the previous owner so not great. We started making another shade for it but didn’t finish so the bottom ring of the second shade needs to be added but the new shade sits nicely on the lamp without it and looks great. Lamp stands approximately 13 tall. The base measures 5-1/2 in diameter. There is an on/off knob on the arm leading to the bulb. I believe the base is Bakelite but don’t know for sure. There is some wear on the copper bottom. Please message if you’d like additional pictures. It was hard to photograph.
