Vtg Art Deco Boudoir Table Lamp 2 Candle Hollywood Regency MCM 20s 30s 40s 50s
A lovely original vintage lamp, freshly rewired, new sockets installed, working great and ready for a lifetime to come. BOTH SETS of bulbs shown ARE INCLUDED – the “flicker flame” bulbs simulate real flames with “movement” in the orange/red light, and the other bulbs are frosted with a classic style. Heavy and weighted, this is a very sturdy lamp – great for use in any room. The lamp itself has a lovely silver and gold painted finish, with just small rubs in the finish here and there and a couple of teeny dings, and the candle covers have some light marks (nothing that takes away from the beauty – see the closeups). The new sockets use standard-base bulbs up to 60 watts each. Total height – base to the top of the bulbs: 16 1/2. (13 1/4 without the bulbs). Base: 6 1/2 wide at the feet. Weight: 4 1/2 pounds. You’re going to LOVE it! This beautiful lamp is from a large antique lighting collection in Fenton, Michigan – see and watch our store for more from this fantastic collection. Here are details about the restorer. The late Bob Daly was a marathon runner and worked in his family’s burglar alarm business until he started his own antique lighting restoration business in Fenton, Michigan in the 1980’s: “Historic Lighting Restoration Services and Sales”. He was restoring antique lighting for almost 40 years. This beautiful light was thoughtfully and skillfully restored by Bob to the tiniest detail. From new wiring to cleaning to touching up, buffing and polishing, Bob was a master at the details. He loved what he did and was excited to share these restored works of art with the next generation (see a newspaper article picture of him in photo #24). He worked with loving care, and you can be proud to own one of his restorative works of art. We are certainly proud to have acquired his amazing collection, as we also restore and sell antique lighting and love to share it with all of you who want true antique pieces that have historic personality in your homes and buildings. Many thanks to Bob’s wife, Luce, for contacting us and allowing us to share his collection with the world! Please see all photos for detailed description.
