Art Deco Streamline Modern Yacht Cutter Sailboat Nautical Sculpture Table Lamp
ART DECO STREAMLINE MODERN “CUTTER” YACHT SAILBOAT NAUTICAL SCULPTURE TABLE LAMP 1940’s. DESIGN: A sculpturally profound yet elegant Art Deco Streamline styled “Cutter” style yacht sailboat table lamp design circa 1940’s. The hefty solid cast “ocean current” styled base mounts the hull body which is adorned with the parallel lines and light portholes of the topdeck with the elegant swooping sails above creating a striking geometric form that resonates the “Streamline” aesthetic. Its’ Art Deco elegance is further enhanced with its’ inner glowing appearance created by the small lamp located in the interior of the vessels cabin. Completely intact and unmolested this is a brilliant example of the elegant aesthetics of the Art Deco Streamline period. “Skipper” decal is partially intact on the bow of the hull. CONDITION : This striking and unique Art Deco table lamp is in exceptional condition, completely intact and fully functional. The brilliant original enamel finish and details show very little signs of use or age and is free of any damage or wear aside from slight finish wear to the heavily weighted base… I’d bet to say it has never been used for any length of time! The original socket, switch and insulated power cord have been inspected to be clean, safe and functional. DIMENSIONS: The lamps general dimensions are 16″ tall overall with an average width of 11″ to the base x 3 deep. Bulb IS included but being vintage there is no guarantee to how long it will last.
