Orange Catalin Phenolic Bakelite & Chrome Art Deco Lamp Lampe Stepped Shade
WOW what a stunner. A FAB NEAT SIZED CATALIN PHENOLIC ART DECO table lamp. Married up with a Deco classic, a super milk white globe with a stepped top section. This is a genuine quality vintage lamp from the DECO age of the thirties. In in good general condition for an item in excess of 75 years old. Catalin is sound but there are areas of wear to the chrome base where it has rubbed through to the brass underneath. Shows its age but does not distract from the overall appearance. Please see photos to make your evaluation of condition. It is “OH SO DECO” FABULOUS! This lamp stands 38 cm to the top of the shade & 13 cm at the base. This lamp will be completely rewired to BSI standards, with 3 amp wiring, fuse, & earthed. On/ off button switch to bc lampholder. The gallery and bc lampholder are modern replacements for safety reasons. Plug will be removed when dispatched to abide by the rules of the sale of secondhand electrical goods.
