Vintage Tiffin Art Deco Satin or Frosted Glass 4 Sided Figural Nude Boudoir Lamp
Recent Prominent Washington, DC area estate sale find. Looks like nothing was modified nor refurbished on this lamp; including the original wiring and cord (possibly the bulb socket, but we’re not sure). A four panel, partially nude figure (same figure on each panel) embossed on frosted glass. Excellent working condition with no chips, cracks, or stains. The glass looks amazing. Removable top looks to be a high sheen black glass and the base is black enameled metal. Just some slight aging on the base, but no damage and looks like it could be easily buffed into a high sheen finish. Truly a survivor from the art deco period. These Tiffin lamps are rare, and very seldom do you find them as original and complete as this example, especially in this condition. As a note, this cord and wiring is most likely 75 to 80 years old. If you’re planning on using this lamp on a regular basis, it would be highly recommended to have it professionally rewired to a modern code. The wiring looks great, the lamp functions perfectly and the switch is firm and tight, but it is hardware from the early 20th century.
