Modernist French Art Deco Table / Desk Lamp Style of Pierre CHAREAU Reproduction
A Modernist Art Deco Table lamp after a design by Pierre Chareau, France, circa 1928. Base and arms in chrome-plated brass. Shade in turned metal, black lacquered. It is a very weighty and solidly made item. Dimensions: 30 x 46 x 22.5 cm approx. In excellent used condition. There are no significant damages or signs of repair, just with only very minor signs of use. The exact age is unknown, although it has been a functional item in my collection for around 8 to 10 years. The lamp works but the cloth covered wiring is not new (and somewhat frayed) and must be replaced and safety checked before use. Please note that the vintage chessboard upon which the lamp is standing in the pictures is NOT included in the sale. Neither is my photogenic feline assistant, Tilly.
