This lamp is marked on the bottom B. & Co New York” and “22 kt Gold Plated. From our research this lamp dates from the early 1900’s up to the 1930’s. We have come to that conclusion because the company name is mentioned in an American School Board Journal in 1901 and also in The Colorado Magazine in 1928, and that’s all we could find about the history of the B. & Co lamp company. Gorgeous, heavy American Brilliance/Brilliant Period cut crystal. Star patterns typical to that era. Bryant light socket, which is period correct. The lamp is 19 to the top of the finial. 13 to the top of the socket. The crystal has a 5 diameter. 4.25 diameter base. We suggest using up to a 60 watt bulb, and if you would like brighter light, use an LED bulb (you can have a brighter bulb with less wattage). You’re going to LOVE this.
