While Sight Light lamps were. Manufactured well into the 1950s, this original version is the most extreme in form and has become an icon of American machine age design. Has been fully restored and external parts have been professionally professionally chrome plated. The original socket and on/off switch have been replaced with new like kind. The power cord has been replaced with period reproduction cotton covered cord and appointed with a reproduction vintage plug and new insulator. This lamp accepts a standard edison light bulb (not included). Imensions are as follows. Shade diameter: 11.75. Base diameter: 7.25. Height to top of finial: 14.5. The lamp base was cast in white metal which is typically a mixture of zinc and other available metals. This unknown composition can cause irregularities in plating as evidenced here on the bottom part of the base which shows some tiny dimpling (refer to the last few photos). Such issues are unpreventable and will vary from one casting to the next. While this slight imperfection does not deter from the overall aesthetic of this wonderful machine age lamp, it is.
