Vintage Art Deco bridge floor lamp’brass’ stamped & cast iron antique RMC 452
Vintage cast iron and stamped metal floor lamp with ornate with a shield on the bridge and base. Stamped with’RMC 452′ under the base, don’t know if that is Rembrandt or another maker, see close up. Regardless this is a very handsome and well made lamp with a brass or brass like finish. Would venture this dates from the 1920’s or 30’s. Great original condition overall with NO breaks or cracks, looks and works fine with expected patina and signs of age. Ornate’all over’ design (every inch of the metal is stamped) and looks fantastic as found, direct from a local estate. Stands 57.5 tall. Bridge is about 12″ end to end, base is about 9.5″ in diameter. Weighs over 11 pounds. Excellent original condition overall and makes a fine appearance. NO cleaning or polishing was done at all. Stands straight, free of bends, no breaks, no cracks, no chips, and no repairs to the lamp. The socket is a replacement and a bit unsightly, shade is also new but looks pretty good on the lamp. Light tarnishing and mild signs of age only, the end of the bridge just above the socket is slightly darkened but otherwise rather even coloring. Base shows a small amount of corrosion around the very bottom edge only. The base has expected light foot scuffs but still looks great. Lamp works fine good cord, switch and socket.
