Very rare piece of period lighting.. “Beautiful minimalist style with bags of character”. Beautiful and highly decorative period cast brass stepped base with a heavy turned mahogany profile. Staged column with turned mahogany features and a brass barley twist section. Beautifully decorative four-winged brass rose at top of column. Original 1940s ventilated brass gallery with original locking bolts. Gallery houses the original brass bayonet fit bulb bolder. Beautiful French large 1930s Opaline cased glass swirled marble design globe shade fits snugly into the brass gallery. The lamps original decaying wiring was recently replaced with two core silk braided twist cable. Original 1930s three-round pin brown Bakelite plug. Standing at 86cm tall, t.
