Constructed of a metal cabinet with reverse painted sign face. Illuminated by a single incandescent bulb and works fine. The wiring was degraded, so I had a master electrician install a new 6′ cord, plug, and an in line on off switch. There would originally have been a cover over the wires on the socket, which is not present. I wanted to keep it as original as possible. The item displays very nicely, but naturally shows areas of wear and tear and patina as shown. There is some crazing and paint loss to the reverse painted glass face. Some of the rubber legs on the bottom are degraded. There is some old scotch tape on the back, which I’m certain could be removed. There is some pitting, rusting, staining, paint loss etc to the metal cabinet. I’m not trying to degrade the item as it is nice for the age, just trying to be thorough.
